More Internet Explorer

Via James: the CTO of Opera has a few words to say to Microsoft about browser interop

I don’t deny that publishing web sites is hard work — and so is writing web browsers. I don’t begrudge the developers, but good grief has Internet Explorer wreaked havoc on web developers, users, and IT staff alike.

[Update] This eWeek article is remarkably prescient (or maybe this post was given the eWeek article). I honestly hope Microsoft does shift toward the .Net/Java battle (one, because .Net is likely a much better technology for client/server applications. And two, because I’ll be less worried about my parents getting hacked (or my friends).
