    Exhibit A:

    “I Want Flash”

    Exhibit B:

From just a few moments ago in another tab.

I think it’s safe to say I won’t be returning to Exhibit A.

    • Just because 1 application has crashed with flash doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have the option to have it on our devices.

Flash isn’t perfect, there is a lot of bad flash out there, but its the best we got at the moment for rich experiences on the web.

    • Yes and I’m being a little unfair – and using dev Chrome to boot.

And, I don’t disagree about the “bad flash” – though I’d argue that the runtime should handle things a little better. I know it’s complicated – and I don’t begrudge the flash team here.

But I don’t agree that it’s best we got for rich experiences on the web. If it wasn’t for Internet Explorer – there are incredibly rich experiences to be had using HTML5 and javascript. Hell, there are “incredibly rich experiences” to be had with Silverlight – as I see everytime I watch Netflix on Demand. But that doesn’t mean that I want to break my experience on a limited memory, limited CPU platform.

I don’t agree with Apple here on their stance about other runtimes, let Adobe put Air on the iP(ad/hone) for all I care. But I don’t think it’s necessary for Flash to be part of the browsing experience on the device.
